We continue to be humbled and motivated by our client’s battlefield tour feedback because it helps us improve our service offering.
The biggest tour of 2025 was the 65th Infantry Division’s “Right to be Proud” Tour in late May / early June. The tour was planned by the cooperation of a major tour operator, the leadership of the 65th Infantry Division Association under Jackie Hanson and tour historian Randy Gaulke. This three-way planning was cumbersome at times. Moreover, the tour covered a lot of territory. In 15 days it visited four countries, covered more than 1,300km (850mi), and included a different hotel almost every night. It also involved meetings and commemoration events with multiple European villages and associations. Therefore, I was very happy to receive the battlefield tour feedback that is shown in the letter and in the individual comments below:
“This was a great plan and well executed. The history and stops was explained very well. The hospitality of locals and historians put you right with the 65th. The only negative was hotels without air conditioning. A trip which I’ll never forget. Thanks to all.” Scott Russell
“This was an incredible trip!! It is obvious that a great amount of time and effort was put into our unique history. We were able to fill in so many holes of my Dad’s journal of the 65th’s movements. Our appreciation of what he went through during WWII has grown astronomically! We loved the “then” and “now” photos! Also the side stories / museums were meaningful and interesting. Thank you for your great knowledge.” Jayne and Gordon Broz
“Randy, I so appreciated all your wonderful, amazing research! Thank you for being a true teacher and wonderful guide. I love everyth8ng you researched and I felt your educational success helped each one of us understand the true focus of the war and the 65th. Thank you for your educating success.!” Susie Cox

Post-WW2 the 261st Infantry Regiment occupied the buildings of Austria’s NCO Academy in Linz, Austria. On the tour, we enjoyed a three-hour stay at the NCO Academy that included lunch, a tour and a greeting / discussion by the Academy’s CO, Brigadier General Klingenschmid MSS. As tour historian, I was honored to receive this memento from the Academy and a 65th Infantry Division challenge coin!
