In 2017 Randy had the opportunity of participating as a guide and historian in the Filming of “A Golden Cross to Bear,” a five-episode, Emmy Award-winning documentary that follows the grandson of an infantry soldier from the Illinois National Guard’s 33rd Division as he retraces the footsteps of the division’s men. It has aired on PBS stations in Illinois and neighboring states.
