KDIH has extended the registration deadline for its 102nd Inf. Regt./Yankee Division Tour to 24 January. Don’t miss this last chance to register for the tour during this one-week extension!
We have put together a 7-day/6-night battlefield tour that will take participants to the key regimental/divisional battlefields and training grounds in France, including: Belleau Wood, the underground Froidmont Quarry, the St. Mihiel Salient and the Meuse-Argonne Sector. Participants will get knee deep into history as these stops are filled with personal stories, photos, maps and battlefield walks. In addition, we have organized cultural events that will introduce participants to cultural icons in the Champagne and Lorraine Regions of France. Finally, the tour will culminate with the Seicheprey Fountain Rededication and Street Renaming Ceremonies, cementing the century-old ties between Connecticut and New England and the town of Seicheprey.
The tour is all-inclusive, except for participants’ evening beverages and airfare. We will be staying in three-star hotels that offer breakfast and dinner. Lunch will take place “in the field” during the tours. Participants will be picked up and dropped off by van at Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Also, the tour is a fundraiser for the Connecticut Heritage Foundation: $125 of each participant’s enrollment costs and a percentage of profits will be given to the foundation to fund its Digging Into History program.
Additional details and registration information can be found at this link. Sign-up now before the extension expires! This will be an unforgettable tour for fans of the Yankee Division and 102nd Infantry Regiment.
